France

Nine recent oils painted en plein air on a visit to Gabian in the Herault department of south-West France in April 18.

Other paintings were produced during two trips to the Languedoc-Roussillon region in late spring and early autumn of 2017. One group depicts the wine growing heartlands of the Midi close to the shabby-chic old town of Pezenas. The other group was painted on a visit to the Mediterranean coast at Collioure where mountains meet sea. This stunningly sited town was famously painted by Matisse and Derain and many others from Charles Rennie Mackintosh to Picasso. Some earlier paintings are also included.

Most paintings on this page are available unframed. If required, framing in my usual style costing between £30 and £50 can be arranged.
